When I get a cold I have found Marijuana to be one of the best routes to relieving my congestion, runny nose and/or nausea. Marijuana contains a proactive Neurotransmitter called THC which is located within the plants resin. When marijuana is either smoked, or ingested these THC neurotransmitters bind with Cannabinoid receptors located in the brain. Once these receptors become blocked by THC the body reacts by releasing other chemicals into the brain. These chemicals are responsible for the physiological and mental effects marijuana has on the human body. Only seconds after these chemicals are released we begin to feel the effects of marijuana.
Two important Neurotransmitters which are released after THC bonds are CB1 and CB2. They impede the production of saliva and mucus, counteracting one of the most notorious side effects of the common cold…the runny nose. So before your nose gets chapped and you feel like hell, try ganga as an alternative.
(Ideally cook the marijuana into a food and eat it; smoking isn’t ever good for your body, particularly when your immune system is battling a virus, and cooking marijuana will have the same great effect)
